PHL242, born in the 2001-02 season, was created by passionate hockey fans seeking fun, banter, player swaps, and a shared love for the sport. Originating from Small World Fantasy Hockey, it now unites nearly 200 managers across the U.S., Canada, and Europe.

Growing from 8 teams to 20 post the 2004-05 lockout, PHL242's "Puckapalooza" tradition began in 2005-06, marked by cross-country journeys for hockey camaraderie. The league's growth continued, expanding to 75 teams and welcoming international members, including a fan in Australia.

2015-2016 saw 105 teams in 7 divisions and our bucket traveling to France. We added 9 divisions, moved to Fantrax, and enjoyed more Puckapaloozas in LA, Vegas, and victorious moments on the pond ice in Colorado. The most recent was a trip to Vegas with a a few of our managers taking in the sites!
